Training Details

  • Mental health practitioners will participate in a three-day training delivered by leading experts in CPT. Thereafter, practitioners will participate in small group supervision for up to 40 sessions, which are offered either in person or remotely. 
  • All training materials, including clinical questionnaires, will be provided to participants to ensure a comprehensive and effective learning experience.
  • We ask participants in our CPT training to complete questionnaires that provide critical feedback to enhancing our pieces of training programs, and allow us to provide personalized feedback on your progress. 

Key Components

It focuses on the meaning the traumatic event holds for the individual.

It helps individuals identify the explicit and implicit interpretations they assign to the event, examine the emotional and behavioral consequences of these interpretations, and explore alternative ways of understanding the experience.

A key feature of this treatment is its emphasis on the cognitive aspects of the disorder, in contrast to other approaches that focus primarily on physiological or behavioral responses to trauma.
